We are on the lookoutfor an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Sofia. In thisrole you have to ensure the highest quality standards for our next-gen SmartHome platform.

You will beresponsible for testing a complex system involving IoT devices, AI-poweredautomation, and cloud services. You will help create a robust, scalable testingenvironment and ensure the smooth functioning of our platform in real-worldscenarios while implementing both manual and automated testing.

Theideal candidate will have a strong background in API and E2E testing, IoTdevice testing, and experience with complex system integrations. Familiaritywith prompt engineering and working with Large Language Models (LLMs) is aplus.

• Conduct hands-onmanual and automated testing for key functionalities including IoT deviceinteractions, web & mobile apps, cloud services, and AI-powered features.
• Validate the behaviorof conversational AI, voice recognition, and recommendation systems to ensureaccurate and contextual responses.
• Ensure that AIrecommendations align with user preferences, IoT metrics, and contextual needs.
• Implement mechanismsfor testing and reducing bias in AI-driven decision-making.
• Ensure seamlessinteraction and communication between IoT devices, including health sensors,smart appliances, and multimedia systems.
• Contribute toautomation frameworks tailored to the platform’s unique requirements, includingAI, IoT, and data pipelines.
• Conduct field testingto verify device pairing, firmware updates, and communication protocols (e.g.,Zigbee, Z-Wave) as well as device performance in real-world environments,including hardware dependencies.
• Work closely withdevelopment teams to ensure testability and quality across all layers of thesystem.
• Assist in debuggingcomplex issues and reproducing bugs in a collaborative environment.
• Document testresults, bugs, and quality-related metrics, and report on progress tostakeholders.
• Collaborate withstakeholders to identify critical business scenarios and ensure theirvalidation.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging theteam to adopt new tools, methodologies, and best practices.

To be successful inthis role, we believe a mix of technical and soft skills is required. Below,you can see what we think are the characteristics of the 'ideal candidate':

• ‍QA expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience insoftware testing, with at least 2 years in a Senior QA role. Strongunderstanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and execution. Expertise intesting RESTful APIs, integration testing, and system-level testing.
• ‍Automated testingskills: Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworkssuch as Selenium, Appium, or Playwright. Ability to develop and maintainautomation frameworks tailored to complex systems. Keen to follow latest trendsand technologies in the industry.
• ‍AI/ML background: Some experience withAI/ML driven systems, especially related to Smart Home technologies andautomation, is a plus
• ‍Smart Home & IoTtechnologies: Keen interest in Smart Home and IoT technologies,with a desire to create innovative smart living solutions. Experience in theseareas is a big advantage
• ‍Databases: Good experience withrelational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL. Experience with document databaseslike MongoDB is a plus. Familiarity with graph and time series databases likeNeo4J and InfluxDB is a plus
• ‍Independence andinitiative: Ability and willingness to work independently, toproactively confront challenges, and to adapt to rapidly changing projectdemands
• ‍Communication skills:Verygood verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearlyarticulate technical concepts, problem statements and solutions to diverseaudiences, including non-technical stakeholders
• ‍Problem-solving andanalytical thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, witha passion for identifying issue sand for conceptualizing, evaluating andimplementing solutions
