We are on the lookout for an experienced QA Lead to joinour team in Sofia. In this role you will be at the heart innovating the smartliving domain by solving complex engineering challenges and shaping the futureof intelligent homes. Together we will scale our platform from a prototypedesigned for early adopters to a robust, large-scale production deployment.

You will work with the latest technologies and gainaccess to next-gen home IoT devices, Generative AI models, Edge AI hardware andcloud services.

As a QA Lead, you will be instrumental inestablishing and leading the QA function within the company. Your role willinvolve setting up testing processes, building a robust QA framework, andensuring the quality of the company's multi-layered platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designingQuality strategies for a product, API and E2E testing, IoT device testing, andexperience with complex system integrations. Familiarity with promptengineering and working with Large Language Models (LLMs) is a plus.

• Build and lead the QAfunction, including team structure, processes, and tools.  
• Define and implementthe QA strategy for our AI-driven home management platform, ensuring alignmentwith the company’s technical and business goals.
• Establish metrics-drivenquality benchmarks, ensuring all components of the platform meet performance,reliability, and security standards.
• Design and implementautomation frameworks tailored to the platform’s unique requirements, includingAI, IoT, and data pipelines.
• Validate the behaviorof conversational AI, voice recognition, and recommendation systems to ensureaccurate and contextual responses.
• Ensure that AIrecommendations align with user preferences, IoT metrics, and contextual needs.
• Implement mechanismsfor testing and reducing bias in AI-driven decision-making.
• Ensure seamlessinteraction and communication between IoT devices, including health sensors,smart appliances, and multimedia systems.
• Conduct field testingto verify device pairing, firmware updates, and communication protocols (e.g.,Zigbee, Z-Wave) as well as device performance in real-world environments,including hardware dependencies.
• Build and preparereports showing progress and overall quality of the product to stakeholders.
• Work closely withdevelopment teams to ensure testability and quality across all layers of thesystem.
• Collaborate withstakeholders to identify critical business scenarios and ensure theirvalidation.
• Promote a culture ofcontinuous improvement, encouraging the team to adopt new tools, methodologies,and best practices.

• ‍QA expertise: Minimum 8 years ofexperience in software testing, with at least 4 years in a QA leadership role.Expertise in QA strategy development, test planning, and execution. Strong knowledge ofREST APIs, data pipelines, and integration testing.
• ‍Automated testingskills: Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks(e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright). Keen to follow latest trends andtechnologies in the industry.
• AI/ML background: Some experience withAI/ML driven systems, especially related to Smart Home technologies andautomation, is a plus.
• ‍Smart Home & IoTtechnologies: Keen interest in Smart Home and IoT technologies,with a desire to create innovative smart living solutions. Experience in theseareas is a big advantage
• ‍Databases: Good experience withrelational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL. Experiencewith document databases like MongoDB is a plus. Familiarity with graph and timeseriesdatabases like Neo4J and InfluxDB is a plus
• ‍Independence andinitiative: Ability and willingness to work independently, toproactively confront challenges, and to adapt to rapidly changing projectdemands
• ‍Communication skills:Verygood verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearlyarticulate technical concepts, problem statements and solutions to diverseaudiences, including non-technical stakeholders
• ‍Problem-solving andanalytical thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, witha passion for identifying issue sand for conceptualizing, evaluating andimplementing solutions
